Career highlights
Joey joined the German Kintiga chapter in September 2021 as a research analyst. Since then, Joey was part of over seven AMNOG dossier submissions and acquired in depth knowledge about adequate evidence generation and addressing PICOs on a national and European level, with a wide range of therapeutic indications, such as oncology and immuno-neurodegenrative diseases, especially in the rare disease area.
He has profound knowledge of our MAIS database, with insights of a number of key AMNOG precendences. Together with his other team members, he helped shaping the EU HTA process that determines the future of European Market Access.
Joey´s other fields of expertise include the development and execution of dossier strategies, performing high-end systematic literature reviews, providing individual peer-group analyses and also training teams or internal stakeholders for the AMNOG and EU HTA processes.
Highlights of Joey´s career journey include the market access of the first effective drug targeting the rare, chronic Friedreich´s ataxia and bringing the world´s first CRISPR/Cas9 based gene-therapy into the German market.

Personal interests
Joey spends much of his free time on competitive sports such as handball and football – wether it´s watching as a fan or actively playing. As the captain of his handball team, together with his team, he sees things through until the end – even if the performance is sometimes lacking. Other than that he enjoys after work activities with his colleagues or friends and also good food or drinks.
