Client Challenge
When innovative drugs are used in hospital treatment after their approval, the question often arises as to how drug therapy is continued in the outpatient setting after the patients are discharged. In particular, specific questions regarding application and reimbursement need to be clarified and addressed.
Kintiga Approach
The customer journey for outpatient and inpatient care was developed, and the optimal path from the patient’s perspective was selected. Expert interviews were conducted, allowing the perspectives of inpatient and outpatient decision-makers (especially social services, hospital physicians, office-based physicians, and statutory health insurance providers) to be considered. Within five days, the decision-makers developed a creative solution to the problem using an interactive workshop format (strategy sprint).
- The user journey is depicted
- outlines a solution,
- A selection was made
- A storyboard was created
- A mock-up was designed and
- A test was conducted using customer interviews.
Kintiga Germany provided support by conducting the necessary research, setting up the mock-up, and carrying out the customer interviews.
Solutions
A compelling mock-up was developed as a solution within a very short timeframe. Expert and customer interviews ensured the solution‘s practical relevance. Discharge management for rare diseases has been sustainably improved.
