What motivates me most is bridging cutting-edge science and real-world application to improve patients’ lives, while recognising that enabling market access in Europe is a critical and strategically complex process requiring deliberate focus and expertise.
Career highlights
Ansgar holds an M.Sc. in Chemistry with a focus on organic chemistry and drug development, followed by a Ph.D. in natural products chemistry with a strong emphasis on medicinal chemistry. He further broadened his expertise internationally as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellow in the Netherlands, where he conducted postdoctoral research in chemical biology, focusing on neurodegenerative and metabolic diseases within an interdisciplinary and innovation-driven environment.
Building on this scientific background, Ansgar transitioned into regulatory affairs, where he managed the national marketing authorization applications for cell-based medicinal products, and oversaw the full lifecycle of product approvals, including post-authorisation variations. During this time, he gained a deep understanding of the German healthcare system and the regulatory frameworks governing pharmaceutical companies. Having joined Kintiga in April 2026, he now applies this combined expertise in his role as a Medical Writer, contributing to German HTA projects through precise and effective scientific communication.

Personal interests
Outside of work, Ansgar is a dedicated and grounded father of two sons who values spending quality time with his family. When he manages to carve out a bit of time for himself, you will likely find him on a bike, either chasing speed on the road or navigating trails on his mountain bike, or exploring the picturesque, rolling forests just south of Hannover. It is his favourite way to recharge, clear his head, and occasionally pretend he is training for something much more serious than he actually is.
